What a difference a week makes

A week in politics is a long time ... Norwich is now a "microcosm" of the new National Government; i.e. we have one Conservative MP and one Liberal Democrat. Moreover, Chloe Smith MP is still comparatively new having been an MP for less than one year and Simon Wright MP is brand new - again, in some ways, mirroring the new Government. This is a crucial time for everyone in the UK with the need to get borrowing sorted and the clear need to reduce the spending of the public purse. I just hope that Further Education Colleges like City College Norwich get the recognition they deserve in helping to turn the economy around through providing high quality, relevant skills and education training for both those in, and those wanting to enter, work. We shall find out quite soon, I imagine!
