End of term
Well another acdemic year alost over and what a year for City College Norwich. We won another National Training Award, had a range of students get into the regional and national finals of the WorldSkills competitions and our Student Union was runner up in the National Union of Students Award for FE Union of the Year - well done to all of them. But the highlight has to be winning the Queen's Anniversary Trust Award for Higher and Further Education. Taking five students and five staff, as well as the Chairman of Governors, down to Buckingham Palace to meet Her Majesty the Queen herself and receieve the Award for undoubtedly the highlight of my career.
We still have many 14 to 16 year olds at the college and we have another busy summer maintenance programme already underway so the summer will not be a quiet time here at City College Norwich!
To all my returning students have a great recess and come back refreshed. To all those who have completed their studies, my best wishes for your future careers. And to the new students starting in September, I really look foward to meeting you all at the start of the new academic year.
